Here are some general observations from the second day of testimony in the child molestation trial of Jatten Heinen, a 21-year-old former YMCA day-care worker accused of molesting four girls last summer.
- Heinen has shown no emotion or reaction during testimony. He appears to be taking notes or looking straight ahead as the witnesses testify. At times, he rocks his chair slightly back and forth.
- A couple jurors appeared to be smiling at the the child witnesses who to testify. The first girl who testified this morning appeared very nervous when she was asked about what happened last summer and glanced over at the jury several times.
- Very few jurors have been taking notes when any of the videotaped interviews are playing. Most tend to be looking right at the screen, some glance over at Heinen, who is also turned toward the screen.
- As the jurors enter the courtroom, Heinen is now turning toward them and smiling.
of course he has no emotion.. he molested a bunch of little innocent girls!
